Microsoft Lumia 640XL is a 5.7inch display device with 157.9 x 81.5 x 9 mm dimensions and weighs 171g .Overall look and feel of the device follows the same iconic lumia design language, but because of the larger display it look much more premium this time.It also come with Gorilla Glass 3 protection which will ensue improve durability and scratch resistance.
Talking about the key placements of the device Microsoft has not provided any navigation keys (capacitive or hard keys) on the font panel instead they have provided it inside the display which makes the front panel completely blank .The lock/unlock key and volume rockers are provided on the right hand of the device. The 3.5mm audio slot is provide at the top while the USB port is placed at bottom. The back panel houses the 13MP camera sensor with LED flash, speaker grill and has matte finish which will resist finger print.Another important thing we have noted in the design is that, they have provided speaker between the bumps of the camera and 3.5mm audio jack slot which will ensure the sound wont get muffled even if the device is placed on flat surface.Microsoft has provide the noise cancellation mic on the top while the voice reception mic is placed at the bottom. The device also comes with removable 3000mAh battery.

Microsoft Lumia 640XL sports a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and 5MP front facing shooter. The 13MP primary camera supports Autofocus,Touch focus,HDR(Bracketing),Face detection and offers very flexible camera UI. With the new denim update Microsoft has combined the feature of Nokia pro camera and Nokia smart camera into the new Lumia camera app which give the user full manual control over the parameters like Shutter speed,Focusing,ISO,Exposure apart from the Auto mode which makes the camera department a great marketing point of this device. The primary camera can take pictures at a maximum resolution of 3096 x 4128pixels,and supports video recording in 1080p .The 5MP secondary camera is fixed focus and can also record videos at 1080p .The front camera as well as the back camera doesn't supports simultaneous image and video capturing .
In our test the primary camera was very responsive and can capture images with out any delay. The image quality of the device was also great as we expect from 13MP camera.Overall i must say i am pretty satisfied with the camera department but it would have been better if they had provided an Auto focus capability for the front camera.
