After the launch of Lumia 950 series flagships from Microsoft, the next big thing waiting to unfold ,is the launch of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 ,which is scheduled to happen in January 21 2016. Today we got some rendering of Mi 5 front panel, the shape reminiscent of a series of Mi Note with thin bezels and 2 capacitive button and a hard key with integrated fingerprint scanner at the bottom.
Earlier it was rumored Mi 5 will feature Qualcomm Sense ID fingerprint sensor ,which employs an Ultrasonic scanner which creates 3D-fingerprint card with all the micro cracks and tiny flaws that increase the accuracy of recognition, but today according to the Huaqiang electronic industry analyst ,Pan Jiutang, the Millet 5 will use only the current mainstream fingerprint recognition. It seems this decision is taken because of the reliability, stability issues with the Sense ID technology and it isn't at a stage yet to be put on a flagship smartphone.
According to the rumors Mi 5 will sport a 5.7 inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass on the top,Snapdragon 820 chipset , 4 GB of RAM ,16/32GB internal memory, USB Type C port,16MP or 20MP primary camera, 8 megapixel shooter fingerprint scanner and battery at 3030 mAh.
