This morning we reported about the detailed specifications regarding the Huawei's upcoming Mate 20 Pro smartphone which is scheduled to launch on October 16 in London along with regular Mate 20 and a game-centric Mate 20X (here). Now the popular leakster Roland Quandt, has revealed the pricing of the Mate 20 Pro in the UK which is slightly higher than the previously leaked price tags.
According to the leaksters the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will be the cheapest configuration and will be priced around £899 ($1,180 US dollar), which seems to be an increase of £100 ($132) over the current Huawei P20 Pro and an even larger increase of £130 ($172) over last year’s Mate 10 Pro which launched at just £770 ($ 892.03) in the market. Previously leaked information has revealed that the Mate 20 Pro will arrive with a price tag somewhere between $1,050 and $1,150 in most markets.
If we compare the new price tag of Huawei Mate 20 Pro (£899 ) with current flagship smartphones it will actually matches the Galaxy Note 9's usual price tag in the UK. When compare with the new Google Pixel 3 XL's 128GB variant it seems lower since the latest Pixel device costs £969 ($ 1122.57) and even the Mate 20 Pro shows some significant savings over the larger iPhone XS Max with 64GB internal storage and cost £1,099 ($ 1273.18), while the smaller iPhone XS costs £999 ($ 1157.33) in the market. If Huawei Mate 20 Pro arrive with £899 price tag some consumers may be disappointed however, it has to be noted that, unlike its rival devices, the Mate 20 Pro will have new features such as an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and a significantly improved triple-rear camera which seems worth money.
