Huawei Mate 20 with Kirin 980 SoC Spotted on GeekBench, Still Trails Behind Apple A12 Chipset

On October 16 Huawei will launch its upcoming new Mate 20 series smartphones in London, and recently released teaser video has confirmed that the devices will be powered by Kirin 980 processor (here). Now today the Mate 20  has been spotted on Geekbench under the model number Huawei LYA-L29 revealing the performance of the new chipset.
From the  GeekBench listing Huawei Mate 20 powered Kirin 980 has achieved a 3390 points on a single core test and 10318 points on a multiple core test which seems to impressive when compared with its predecessor Kirin 970. The chipset  has also outclassed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in performance when compare with the single core and multiple core tests. Similarly the AnTuTu benchmarks has revealed that the Kirin 980 has scored 356918 points which seems pretty good when compared with the Snapdragon 845 that has scored 280000+ points
However, the new Kirin 980 SoC seems to fail a little margin when compared with  GeekBench scores of the Apple A12 Bionic chipset ( on Geekbench Apple iPhone XS scores  4795 points on the single-core, and 11170 points on the multi-core test) which was debuted on 2018 iPhone models. Apart from that the Kirin 980 is the first chipset which is based on 7nm architecture  in the world and it is also the first chipset to feature different aspects like a dual-NPU, Mali-G76 GPU,  a Cat. 21 LTE modem, and the first chipset to support 2133MHz LPDDR4X. Huawei has also claimed that their new chipset is 75% faster and its  GPU is 46% faster than its previous generation, they  also stated that the SoC bears 57% more Power efficiency and has an extremely impressive 178% improvements in terms of the GPU performance.
