Huawei's Upcoming nanoSD Cards to Cost a Bit more than microSD Cards

Last week we reported about the leaked promotional material of the Huawei Mate 20 series smartphone from an Israel publication  revealing key specifications and also hinted that these smartphones will support a new type of nanoSD memory card which is having storage up to 256 GB  (here). Now the popular leakster  Roland Quandt has revealed  more details and pricing of Huawei's own storage cards.
According to the leaksters Huawei has developed its own storage cards dubbed NanoSDs for its upcoming Mate 20 series smartphone, instead of sticking to the more traditional microSD method.  They are expected to match the dimensions of NanoSIMs and will also use the Emmc 4.5 protocol for reading speeds of up to 90MB per second. Moreover, the leakster has suggested that Huawei's new nanoSD cards will be priced a bit more than the usual microSDs which is expected to be €49.99 in Europe (~ $57 US dollar) for the 128GB version.
If we compare the price of Huawei's  NanoSDs with the microSD cards from SanDisk or Samsung which is currently cost between $30 and $35 for the 128GB version, this indicate that Huawei consumers has to pay quite a bit more for the expandable internal storage for their new devices. Yesterday's report has revealed that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will be the cheapest configuration and will be priced around £899 ($1,180 US dollar) in UK, which seems to be an increase of £100 ($132) over the current Huawei P20 Pro and an even larger increase of £130 ($172) over last year’s Mate 10 Pro .
