After the successful launch of Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus in the Indian market, the HMD Global has unveiled a new affordable smartphone dubbed Nokia 3.1 Plus in India. The new smartphone is regarded as a successor to the Nokia 3.1 which was launched in India a few months ago and will be available in two variant, while the company has only revealed the price of 3GB RAM model which is Rs. 11,499 (~$155.15 US dollar).
The Nokia 3.1 Plus features a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS display with resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and aspect ratio 18:9. It is powered by MediaTek P22 octa-core chipset that has a 12nm architecture Coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, while there is also a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant. The device runs on Android Oreo, and it is a part of Google‘s Android One programme. The smartphone will pack a 3,500mAh battery but lacks fast charging support.
The camera department features a dual 13-megapixel primary sensor with aperture f/2.0, PDAF lens (pixel size of 1.12-micron ) and 5-megapixel secondary monochrome sensor with aperture f/2.4, fixed focus lens . On the front there is a 8-megapixel camera with aperture f/2.2, and a pixel size of 1.12-micron for selfies. The connectivity features included on the device are Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB port. Nokia 3.1 Plus will be available for purchase in India from 19th October and will be available in Blue, White, Baltic color variants.
