As we already know already Qualcomm is working on  next generation flagship chipset that will be based on the 7nm manufacturing process and will be the successor to the current Snapdragon 845 which is heading towards the end of its product life cycle. Now today Qualcomm's next generation chipset has been spotted on the Bluetooth certification document,  under the model number SM8150 and rumors has suggested that the new chipset will be dubbed as the Snapdragon 8150, instead Snapdragon 855.
Recall early there were lot of rumors regarding the Snapdragon 845  successors and it was expected to be called the Snapdragon 855, but the new the Bluetooth SIG's model number  perfectly coincides with the name Snapdragon 8150, so we can seemingly confirm that Qualcomm’s next flagship processor will dubbed as the SD 8150 processor. Apart from the naming, the certification also confirms that the chipset will support multiple Wi-Fi bands and Bluetooth 5.0 .
Recently leaked  Android 9.0 Pie system files has also hinted the name Snapdragon 8150 and the Geekbench listing has revealed that the Snapdragon 8150 has a significantly gained performance over the  Snapdragon 845 SoC and the new processor has achieved  1300 extra points on the single-core test and almost 2000 extra on the multi-core test. This scores seems to be slightly ahead of Huawei’s new Kirin 980 SoC, while the Snapdragon 8150 processor seems still lags behind Apple’s A12 Bionic when it comes to single-core performance. However, rumors have suggested that Qualcomm may unveil the Snapdragon 8150 SoC in mid-December and the first smartphone to arrive with this chipset is expected to be launched in early March.
