Philips the Indian smartphone manufactures has returned to the market after a short interval with some really interesting smartphones.The Philips W6610, the current flagship Dual Sim device of the indian brand and is prices at Rs.20,650 and offers pretty nice specs to the user.The most attractive feature of all is the battery capacity of 5300mAH which is the biggest in this segment and offers standby time of 1604 hrs and an amazing 3G talk-time of 33Hrs .
The Philips W6610 sports a 5-inch TFT display with a resolution 540X960pixels which is little low compared to other samrtphones in this segment. It is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek processor, clocked at 1.3GHz, that is coupled with 1GB of RAM.Philips has not revealed any details about the series of processor used in this device ,so we cant say any comment on the performance of the device.But considering the fact that the Philips W308 which is priced at Rs8,290 sports a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572M processor with a Mali 400 MP1 GPU which will offer a very good performance for that price ,we expect a higher version of Mali GPU in Philips W6610 which will make it a good compeer for this segment.
The Philips W6610 sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, but the disappointing thing is that the device has not provided with front-facing secondary camera which is a must for this segment.The Philips W6610 comes with inbuilt storage of 4GB in which 1.7GB is user available, and can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).
