Micromax Canvas DOODLE 3 Unboxing and Review

DESIGN

                      Micromax Canvas DOODLE 3 is Dual sim  smartphone with largest display size from micromax.It has got 6 inch Display which makes it ideal for thoes who love to watch movies and play games at budget price,which is the biggest marketing point of  this device.

                     The overall look and feel of the device is similar to the other devices in this price range except the fact the it is little scaled up than the others.

                      Taking about the key placement of this device the front panel has got 3 capacitive button ,micromax had provided the both volume rockers and the Lock/Unlock keys on the right hand side of the device .The Lock/Unlock button is placed just below the volume rockers which make it easier to access despite of the large dimensions of the device .Micomax has provided both the USB port and the 3.5mm Audio jack on the top side of the device and  they had no given any keys or ports on the left hand side or the bottom of the device .

                    The only thing i could find negative is that they have not provided micro sd card slot on the exterior of the device  ,so every time to change memory card you have to open up the back cover.

DISPLAY

            As i have already said that the biggest marketing point of this device is obviously the large display size.Micromax Canvas DOODLE 3 sports 6 inch LCD display with a display resolution of 480 x 854 pixels .The pixel density of the device is 163ppi which is little low compared to other devices in this price range .Despite of the lower pixel density the screen seemed very vibrant and doesn't felt like a lower pixel density display.The display also had good viewing angle also,overall the display quality of the device  was nice and just worth the money

              The only thing i could find negative is that micromax  has not provided any scratch protection to the display but obviously we can't complain because it may be as part of price cutting. 

CAMERA

                 Micromax Canvas DOODLE 3 sports 5MP primary camera with auto focus and LED flash.The 5MP camera is capable of 720p video recording and can capture pictures at max resolution of  2592 х 1944 pixels.The front facing camera of the device is a fixed focus VGA camera which was able provide decent quality video recording the only problem is that if has lower frame rate since the video feels little shaky.

HARDWARE

          Micromax Canvas DOODLE 3 comes with pretty decent hardware configuration,the device sports 1.3GHz Dual-Core Mediatek MT6572 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM out of which 665MB is free.The Mediatek MT6572 processor sports a Mali-400 MP1 GPU clocked at 500 MHz which is a budget GPU and will pretty nice performance in multimedia applications.In our test with Nena mark 2 the got 40.6 which shows that it could handle both 1080p  and 720p video playback.The device has 4GB of internal storage out of which  1.27GB is user available.The device also sports a micro SD card slot which can support a maximum of 32GB.

              The other connectivity options include Bluetooth v3.0,USB v2.0 ,wifi,3G(HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps).Micromax Canvas DOODLE 3  also comes with 2500mAH battery which is able to provide 26ohrs of standby and upto 9hrs of talk time.
