HTC Desire 616 Dual-SIM and Octa-Core SoC Launched at Rs.14,335

                     After months of rumours and leaks finally HTC had launched its new budget smartphone HTC  Desire 616 in Singapore with a price tag of SGD 298( Rs.14,335).According to the latest reports the HTC has no intentions to launch this device globally as if now they have limited it to within Asia.

                  HTC Desire 616 is a dual sim device (one regular SIM, and one Micro-SIM) .The device will  sports a 5inch HD IPS Display with a resolution of   720x1280 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi  .Under the hood the device is powered by an 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.The Mediatek MT6592 chipset is a high performance octa core chipset with Mali 450MP4 GPU which is the best processor one can get in this price range and  will ensure a high end gaming and multimedia performance.The device also sports a 4GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD card upto 32GB.The connectivity options include 3G,Wi-Fi,Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS and USB v2.0

             The camera department sports 8MP primary camera  and a 2MP front facing shooter  .The 8MP camera is capable of 1080p video recording  while the front camera records video in  720P .The device runs on Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box and will have 2000mAh battery .
