Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 sports a 4.7inch HD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels .Micromax has provided a very nice display for this device with a pixel density of 312ppi which gives a very sharp and crisp display which had a nice viewing angle.The display has a colour depth of 16M colours which makes it extremely vibrant .So considering these facts regarding the display quality i would give 7.75 /10

Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 is a Dual sim mid range device from micromax,priced at about Rs.11,800(check price now) in retail outlets.Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 sports a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels .
Talking about the key placements of the device micromax has provided 3 capacitive buttons on the front panel ,the lock/unlock key,volume rockers and the a tray for inserting both memory card and nano sim are placed on right hand side while the tray for inserting the mini sim is provided on the left hand of the device.The USB port is provided on the bottom right while 3.5mm audio slot is provide at the top .The back panel of the device is made out of some glossy glass like material which looks great but attracts lot of finger prints.Micromax has not provided gorilla glass protection for this device which is a bit disappointing but again that is justifiable since they are providing the device at budget price with such high specifications.The device also comes with inbuilt non-removable battery which can be said as a little demerit .So overall as a package the design of the device is quite nice and elegant , i would give rating of 8.5/10 in case of design for this device.

Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 can be said as a camera centric phone hence we could see a lot of customization and advanced feature in the device.The camera department sports a 8MP primary camera and 5MP front facing shooter.The 8MP primary camera supports Autofocus,Touch focus,HDR,Scene recognition,Smile detection,Face detection, Voice control and can take pictures at a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels,and supports video recording in 1080p,while the 5MP secondary camera is fixed focus but supports face recognition ,voice control,mirror effect ,ISO adjustments .
We have tested the response of the primary camera and found it very responsive ,there is no delay in capturing the image , the images were very precisely focused and had very good colour reproduction,Micromax has also provided zero shutter lag mode in which the device will capture images almost instantly with little sacrifice in focusing. In low light the images were noisy as usual .Considering all these factors i could give 8.5/10 for the camera performance of the device.

Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 comes with 1.4 GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6592M coupled with 1GB of RAM.Mediatek MT6592M sports a Mali 450MP4 GPU clocked@600Mhz which delivers a very high gaming performance for the device.In our test with Nenamark 2 the device scored 62.0fps which is a max score .When it comes to antutu Benchmark the device scored 22737 in the latest Antutu v4.5 and 18699 with Antutu v3.3, which is a very nice score.
Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 has 8GB of internal storage out of which 3.68GB is user available.In case of RAM out of 1GB, 533MB is user available which is great to have and will ensure fluid performance of the device . The device also sports a micro SD card slot which can support a maximum of 32GB.Micromax has also provided all the sensors ie Accelerometer, Light, Proximity, ,Orientation,Magnetic field which will ensure precision over gaming and navigation.
Micromax has provided the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat for this device.The user interface of the device has a lot customization especially in camera department and features like mutiwindow,smart pause,smart guestures,cast screen power saving mode provide a very nice user experience.The UI also provides option to install and move apps to memory card.
