As we know already Samsung and Huawei are in a rush to launch the world's first foldable smartphone with revolutionary technologies and we have already seen different prototype version of foldable smartphones from Samsung and Lenovo in various location . But now today a short video shared on Lenovo Mobile Weibo account showcases a foldable smartphone from Lenovo which can bend up to 90 degrees.
Recall back in June 2016, Lenovo has showcased its first foldable device concepts and last year the company has showed a slightly refined versions dubbed as Cplus which can bends into a bracelet and it featured a 4.35 inch AMOLED display with leather on its back. Since then, the company has remained completely silent on the foldable devices and now the new video showing its version of foldable smartphone posted on the Chinese social platform suggest that the company could potentially unveil the world’s first foldable smartphone.
The foldable smartphone from Lenovo spotted in the new video seems to be a fully functioning prototype which is loaded with apps. The device seems to be quite tall which can be folded into half, while the black spot on the screen where the hinge are located suggest that there is an issue to the prototype and further improvements has to be done before its commercial launch. The Lenovo has also hinted that this foldable smartphone may be marketed under the Moto RAZR brand and the Chinese company is also working on a flexible laptop. It has to be noted that, if Lenovo does indeed unveil a foldable smartphone sometime in January the company will directly compete with Samsung in this segment .
