For the past few months the upcoming Mate 20 series smartphones has been in multiple leaks and rumors, while there were also reports that Huawei may unveil a wearable device dubbed Watch GT at the Mate 20 launch event scheduled on next Tuesday. Now today a couple of render images of the Huawei Watch GT has been published on Huawei’s own website and also revealing its entire specs.
According to the website Huawei Watch GT will feature a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454p. The Watch GT appears to be having a classic finish with a new ceramic bezel while the remaining portion of the body will be made out of aluminum. Recent report has revealed that the wearable device will be powered by a proprietary OS developed by Huawei, rather than Wear OS . The device will pack a 420mAh battery that is expected to permit a 30 days of continuous use in the more traditional watch mode, while the heavy use may reduce its life to two weeks and if the user activate the GPS, battery life drops to 22 hours.
The Huawei Watch GT will include a new heart rate monitor combined with “TruSeen 3.0” technology which will effectively pair the sensors with AI, in order to improve its accuracy. The Watch GT will support features such as sleep tracking, fitness tracking, blood pressure detecting and if it gets too high it is also capable of recommend activities to lower the blood pressure. It also arrives with a built-in personal running trainer, but if running is not your thing it will support activity such as swimming, riding, hiking, cross-country, and more. The device is having a thickness 10.6mm which is 0.1mm thinner than the Apple Watch Series 4 and a recent report has claimed that the Watch GT will only be compatible with Huawei/Honor devices that run on EMUI 9.0.
