The OnePlus is all set to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone the OnePlus 6T on October 30 in India and New York which is followed by unveiling the device in China on November 5. Now today multiple sources has revealed that the OnePlus 6T will be the brand’s first product which will be sold directly through a US carrier, but there would be a different local wireless service provider too.
Recall early reports suggested that the OnePlus 6T will be the Chinese company's first ever device to be offered by a US network called the T-Mobile, but now today's report from multiple industrial sources has claimed that the 6T will also be the first OnePlus handset to support Verizon's network. However, at present there is no information that the new carrier will also sell the smartphone directly in Verizon stores in addition to T-Mobile shops. By partnering with Verizon OnePlus 6T could reach across the States since all the previous OnePlus smartphones were worked only with GSM-based carriers (such as AT&T, T-Mobile, their prepaid subsidiaries, and the various MVNOs using their networks).
It has to be noted that the OnePlus 6T will be an LTE-only smartphone on Verizon, which means that it wont support a 2G or 3G systems. The new source also stated that the OnePlus 6T will support LTE band 13, which means without Verizon’s proper certification, major compatibility issues could arise and the Big Red's labs are allegedly working on certifying the smartphone. If every thing goes well for the OnePlus 6T, it will make the OnePlus much more successful in the US.
