Recently the upcoming flagship smartphone from OnePlus, the OnePlus 6T has been numerous leak and rumors, while there were no official confirmation regarding its specs or feature. Now today the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has wrote in a post on his Weibo account that the new smartphone from the company will be pre-installed with the latest Android OS, along with an upgraded version OxygenOS UI.
The CEO also stated that the OnePlus 6T will be unveiled November 5th in China and previously, the company has mentioned a November 6th date for the release in European and an October 30 in New York. It has to be noted that OnePlus has already started rolling out the Android 9 Pie to the OnePlus 6 and the CEO has recently stated that the Android 9 Pie update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 3 series has been delayed as more work is needed to perfect it. On the other hand OnePlus UX lead Szymon K recently said in a company forum that the new OxygenOS UI is more faster, smoother and it will provide a burden-less experience to its users. He also commented that it will be the most distinct and intuitive version of OxygenOS which will have a gesture based navigation system and will provide adaptive battery support.
Recent rumors suggest that OnePlus 6T will feature a slightly larger 6.4-inch display with in display fingerprint scanner. The device would be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and it will pack a significantly larger 3,700 mAh battery which is 400 mAh more when compared to OnePlus 6. The smartphone is expected to have a dual camera module with a 16MP primary sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor at the back, while there will be a 16MP front camera with support for face unlock feature on the front.
