Huawei P20 Pro Reportedly Starts Receiving Android 9.0 Pie Update in Europe

Recently Huawei  has started  rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 4.0 update on Honor View 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Now today there were reports Huawei P20 Pro is getting Android 9.0 Pie update  just like the Mate 10 Pro, and the report also suggest that this update will be available in the European region only. Unfortunately, Huawei has not confirmed or revealed the update details, but there were reports that some users are getting it, so we expect the update will arrive globally by the end of this year .
According to the changelog posted on the Huawei’s server users will get the usual Android 9.0 features with little UI improvements in the overall system and the update will only be available for Huawei P20 Pro with model number CLT-L09 and C432, while the build number 9.0.0.108 seems to remains similar to the Mate 10 Pro and Honor View 10 devices. Users can also flash the update file manually on their devices by following proper procedure and the manual flashing needs an unlocked smartphone.
Those who choose for the manual update  should also consider security concerns that may arise with an unlocked  smartphone, so it seems to us its better to wait for the official OTA update, which will be much easier to install and will be more reliable. Huawei P20 Pro seems to be the third Huawei smartphone which will receive Android 9.0 Pie and there are still quite a few other Huawei devices that should be updated to Android Pie soon.
